The move is over. We ended up 2 miles from our old house, in ex-military housing, which sounds worse than it is. We have hard wood floors (that I love!). The place is small, but it gave me the chance to get rid of stuff I should have gotten rid of years ago.
Well, its been a while since I posted, but that is good! I have been working on my studies (and actually BEGINNING to actually understand organic chemistry!), and Rory has stayed out of the hospital for over a month now (YES! We actually went through a major holiday without a hospitalization!). Rory's femoral catheter is working (it does go up into the inferior vena cava), and he has cut down to 4 days a week, which has done wonders for his emotional well-being.
We are hopeful that UCSF puts him back on the transplant list (or that he is active this weekend!) ASAP. He had a cardiac cath (which came out ok), and a persantine thallium stress test which also came out good (according to the radiologist - we still haven't heard from the cardiologist at UCSF who is supposed to clear him for transplant).
