Moving Day Came and Went

Friday, we moved all the furniture that was going into the apartment, except my bed frame. I had to take it apart, since it is all wood, and we ran out of time. Speaking of running out of time... I needed to have the truck back to Uhaul by 7pm. At 6pm, we finished loading the last load of the day. Got over to the apartment around 6:15. A lady and her daughter came out just as we were getting the first items off the truck. We were staging the items in an empty parking space, to save time, since I needed to gas up the truck before returning it. I had set a deadline of 6:30pm for everything to be out of the truck, so I could get it back in time. We told the lady, "3 minutes, and this will out of your way." I don't think she believed us, since the truck was PACKED. But literally, within 3 minutes, we had the truck unloaded completely, and swept out. I think for her, it was a jaw dropping moment. Her comment to us: "Wow! If I hadn't seen it, I would never have believed that could get unloaded that quickly".

Too bad she hasn't seen a DMAT in action. :-)

Now, all we need to do is get the boxes moved. Some are moved, some will go into storage. I need to give away my frig, washer and dryer (actually, w/d are now spoken for), two dressers, maybe more. Oh yeah, and clean up the place before turning over the keys.

Once I have energy, and my new place is up to snuff, I will take those pics and post them here. Right now, my back hurts, and I need to get ready for school tomorrow. Oh yeah, CSUS Spring 2006 starts tomorrow. My last semester until I have my bachelor's degree!
